- [ ] Open Dropbox and navigate to Websites For Less\Websites\_WP Project Template\site\
- [ ] From there, install all starter plugins, as well as genesis and eminence themes
- [ ] update all installed plugins & themes
- [ ] navigate to the client's dropbox folder and customize their website directory and custom plugin by following the steps below
- [ ] Navigate to the client's dropbox "Site" folder (Dropbox (Online in a Day)\Websites For Less\Websites\{{{clientname}}}\Site)
- [ ] Rename the folder within the site folder from "Client Name site v1" to actually include their name (no special characters)
- [ ] Enter inside this folder that you just renamed and click all the way through to wp-content/plugins
- [ ] Rename this folder from "zs-client-name" to actually include their name *** be sure to keep the "zs-" at the beginning, and have the client's name. The name should be all lower case, with no special characters, and with hyphens instead of spaces. So "My Great Client" would become "my-great-client" -- you can use this tool to generate this: https://titlecase.com/hyphencase
- [ ] Enter within the folder you just renamed, and rename the php file with the exact same name as the folder you just renamed (be sure to keep the ".php" at the end though) So the file should something like "zs-my-great-client.php"
- [ ] Open this php file in notepad.
- [ ] Do a find and replace in this file and replace all instances of "client_name" with a snakecase version of their name (just like hyphencase, except with underscores instead) https://titlecase.com/snakecase
- [ ] On line 8, change the part that says "Client Name Customizations" to actually include their name. This time, in standard Title Case.
- [ ] go back to the wp-content/plugins directory and zip up the whole zs-client-name folder you renamed and upload it to the wordpress site.
- [ ] Activate eminence theme
- [ ] Export an SVG of the client's logo & add it to the theme
- [ ] Create a favicon (310px x 310px) with favicomatic (choose the "every damn size sir" option) and add it to the theme
- [ ] Configure theme with client's primary color
- [ ] In the WP Admin settings -> permalinks page, update the website permalink settings to be the "post name" style
- [ ] Create a new page called "home" and publish it
- [ ] Create a new page called "blog" and publish it
- [ ] Create a new page called "1 - Kitchen Sink" and privately publish it with the content contained within this note (be sure to paste the content into the "text" view, not the "visual" view)
